I waited a month before writing this review to test the product, and let me say, this tank is amazing! I bought the 3 gallon for my Betta. Yes, I do realize that it’s a bit small, but I am moving into a dorm and refused to settle for a bowl. Overall, it is the perfect size for what I need it for! I did some extensive research before purchasing and this tank has lived up to my expectations. The viewing is crystal clear, the lights are super bright (or calming, if using the nighttime setting), and filtration is essentially silent. I have had no issues with it. I went from a Biorb Tube to this, and even though it was a downgrade in size, this tank is so much better. The filters are way cheaper ($5 for a 3 pack vs. $13 for 1 Biorb filter) and the tank does not get dirty as quickly (it’s been a month and the tank is still crystal clear, vs my Biorb which would be filled with algae by week 3). I find that all you need to clean this tank is a turkey baster to suck up the droppings! A lot of other reviewers mentioned the filter being too strong… I didn’t experience that problem. I put it on the lowest setting and pointed the nozzle upwards and have had no issues. However, there are a few ‘imperfections’ to the design of this tank. 1) The condensation issue- like other reviewers have mentioned, the glass lid collects condensation almost instantly. This isn’t the biggest issue, but I feel like it would just take a few small holes spread evenly across the lid to fix it, which is a flaw in design on Marineland’s part. 2) the black “cover” that goes over the back of the tank is a joke. It isn’t secure no matter what I try, and just flips around. Again, the design could be better. And 3) the overhead light. So the light is actually very nice and illuminates the tank beautifully but the lamp itself is very flimsy. When I unboxed it, it was twisted out of shape, so I had to bend it repeatedly to get it straight. Either the packaging or the material was to blame. Not complete deal-breakers, but problems that could be addressed to satisfy the customers.Overall, it’s a very nice tank and definitely worth the investment. My little guy has been making bubble nests bigger than he has made in years!

We started off beginners thinking our daughter’s new betta would be ok in a half gallon, cheap plastic tank that was advertised for bettas. It had no filtration system or heater, so the water had to be changed frequently, and our fish was clearly uncomfortable due to the cold. I started doing my betta research (better late than never, I guess), and realized she needed a much better set up. I was looking to spend a little more money for a decent quality tank with a proper filtration system, and this 3 gallon worked out well. Assembly was pretty simple with the provided instructions, there is plenty of space for our fish, it has a nice look to it with real glass and two optional LED light settings, and the pump is not too noisy so long as there is enough water in the tank to cover it properly. Basic maintenance involves adding more water when it starts getting low, and changing the filter occasionally. I also purchased a small heater, and our betta has been lively and happy since (we’ve had her for a couple of years now). I dislike one minor thing- the directions tell you to turn the pump all the way up prior to filling with water, and that is much too strong for the 3 gallon tank. If you have a betta you will definitely need to ignore those instructions and turn the dial all the way down or it will toss your fish around. Also, there is a piece of thin plastic that covers the filtration system at the back of the tank. Don’t try to firmly attach it, because it won’t cooperate. It appears to be designed to fit loosely over the system so that you can easily adjust the glass top of the tank to feed your fish, etc.Recently my son decided he also needed a betta in his room, so it was an easy decision for me to just order the same tank and heater again, and now we have two. The pump on our second purchase seemed a bit more noisy for some reason, but in general it is the same good quality tank as our first, so we are satisfied.

    Tamaño pequeño para 1 o 2 peces
Buenos materiales bien construida y equipada.

    Great aquarium!
It shipped on time and came with no cracks, chips, or scratches. The Amazon box was barely sealed with only one piece of tape, and the aquarium was laying on its side. But it did arrive perfectly fine so that’s all that matters. It looks amazing and came with all the parts. No pieces were missing. The cover for the filter is warped so I can’t slide the aquarium cover without also lifting the filter cover, which is annoying and not supposed to be.The flow of the filter is a too fast for my betta even with the filter on its lowest speed. Hopefully when’s I get all my decor in it will help block the current. The light is nice but it would be nice if the daytime light was brighter because I am going to put plants in the aquarium. It also would be nice if there was not an output nozzle sticking out. It kind of looks weird.Overall it is a really really nice aquarium that looks sleek and modern. The rounded corners make it look so much better compared to any other tank. The motor does make some noise, which I do not care about but I had read other reviews that said it is virtually quiet. The three stage filteration is really cool you will be paying at least $60 a year in filter replacements because you have to use specific expensive ones, which is something I did not read elsewhere or realize.I would definitely recommend this aquarium, if you have the money. It adds a unique feature to any room but does not take up very much space.

Sturdy & Great Quality BUT small fish get stuck in the filter area
Tank is exactly what I had hoped for. My only grievances however are in relation to the “passages” between the main tank and the filter. This is a nano tank, so you need nano fish within the tank. WELL. The “filter holes” are big enough that my chili rasboras can swim through, but once they’re back there they are essentially stuck until you remove the filter and either catch them and release them back into the main tank, or you force them to swim back out of the holes. Tremendously frustrating to be doing every single day.Additionally, the filter hole is VERY close to the bottom of the tank, which limits the amount of substrate that you can have at the bottom(or at least in that corner)
